Andy was taken from us 29th August 1992 after a tragic accident involving a car at Brookside industrial park Wednesbury West Mids.
No one know`s the truth about this accident as there were no witnesses except the idiot that was driving the car and a few of Andy`s mates who were to frightened to tell the Police what happened.
He was just 12 years old and coming towards the end of his school holidays when this happened, he was about to return to Wodensborough High school to start a new school year. Anyone who knew Andy would tell you what a loveable rogue he was, never in any serious trouble but one of the lads enjoying life to the max. Andy has a brother named Matt and a sister named Laura who were both devastated by his untimely death as were myself my ex wife and both families and friends.
I must thank the people of Mesty Croft in Wednesbury for their kindness at our time of loss, these are proper people who rally round when someone needs comfort and support, you are the salt of the earth. Special thanks to Beryl Muckley Andys next door neighbour of Kilvert road who did so much for Andys mom Mary at this tragic time. Also we must thank the staff at Sandwell Hospital ITU for all they did for Andy in his time of need and Gibbs funeral directors of West Bromwich for all their help as well at this tragic time.
I would like to personally like to thank my Mom all the lads from the Demons banger racing team of which I am a member, the staff at Guest Motors West Bromwich where I worked and all my other mates who rallied round in my time of need.
Special thanks to the other Andy Hill one of my best mates who drove my tow truck to the cemetery. He thought the world of our Andy and was a diamond to me at this time.
Also thanks to Mesty Croft Infant and Junior school for the memorial Garden they set up in Andy`s memory and also for the rememberance services they have carried out since for him. Although only 12 he was
quite a character in the area and very well liked by everybody.
Finally thanks to all the fellow scrap dealers and banger racers in the area who followed my truck in their lorries adorned with all the flowers behind the funeral cars to Andy`s place of rest at Heath lane cemetery, West Bromwich that dreadful September day in 1992.
It was a fitting tribute to a lovely young lad with his life ahead of him
Andys organs were donated to help others in need a chance to survive.
